Shine’N’Clean: car detailing on-the-spot

For some particular reason, this helps me destress and relax. I know, I am very special this way. And than again, why not? As they say “find your passion and its no longer work“, I have decided to go ahead with this old idea of mine of sharing my passion for cleaning, with the rest of my (proximity) world.

It all started with me renting out a new car every other week, using the services of CarNextDoor (a review of this app will soon follow). Now, don`t get me wrong, maybe my understanding of “clean car” is not what a regular person considers to be, but what I came to realize was me spending anything between 20 to 45 minutes before the start of the trip to make sure anything is raised to my standards: all windows and mirrors are cleaned, there is no dust or hair or any sort of dirt inside the car, any piece of plastic is sanitized and disinfected and so on. I even begun booking the car 1h earlier than my trip departing time just to make sure I am not under any time pressure when applying my “obsessions”. Having a portable vacuum with 2 spare batteries, guess who was now carrying with him an extra piece of hardware appliance?
Before you start with the judgement, I did tried different car wash services, with prices varying from $29 to $69, for full service, inside & out. Never was I satisfied by the results. Not saying there aren’t any good car wash business around here, just saying there is not enough bang for the buck.

Well, this is how Shine’N’Clean idea started to came to life. I mean, let’s not get ahead of ourselves now, there is no plan on me going full time doing this activity but I feel like I can make a difference and why not? Plain simple, will start small with only the cars I am planning to rent via the app (I have my own list of owners that I collaborate with) and my friends & neighbors that trust me with their car. If all goes well, who knows, will consider other opportunities. There is nothing complicated, just a couple of easy steps to follow:

• reach out to me via contact form or by email at repaymefast@gmail.com and tell me a bit about you
• I will asses the ask, submit and offer and wait for your confirmation (will decide on day and time)
• if you`re a CarNextDoor car owner, I will go ahead and book the car for 2 hours, time need to make sure all is in perfect condition when I finish (this step is not needed if we meet in person to decide on how to go ahead with the task)
• I will contact you when the task is ready, taking some before & after pictures and will wait for your review
• if everything is as expected (can’t think of any reasons not to be), you can go ahead and make the payment. I do trust myself to deliver only the best hence, it will be free of charge*** if you feel like I didn’t deliver

Couple of things to consider:

• there is a distance limit I can cover at this point. That is 10km radius around Albert Park. Best is to use 20KM from home (2kmfromhome.com) page to see if you are covered (there are some exceptions, but those will be handled privately)
• if using the CarNextDoor 2h booking method, the offered price will include also the app booking fee
• there is 50% discount offer for first time customers (T&C apply). I will reserve the right to choose to whom should I offer the this discount)
• I will be using my own cleaning products, for both interior and exterior, most of them by the brand of Turtle Wax which is one of the leading companies in detailing & car care professional products
• In case you are not happy with the end results, there is nothing for you to pay for my services other than the CarNextDoor booking fees *** All the services under the extras category are not included in this offer ***
• access to a power source is needed for the proper interior steam clean. If not available on the spot, I will find a place (underground parking) that can provide one (or, if agreed, I can bring the car to my underground spot)
• please understand this is a hobby that come to evolve into a passion. I am not to be mistaken or even compared with a full professional car wash and detailing company. Will strive to offer my very best results, but there are cases when a professional service will be needed. Do your own research an decide which is better for your case
